W.I. Tysoe W.I. wish everyone a
very Happy New Year. Although we are named Tysoe W.I. it also includes
Oxhill and Whatcote, who provide about half of it's membership. If anyone
would like to join us or just attend a meeting to see what we are all
about, you would be made most welcome. Please get in touch with our Lyn
Hicks, Secretary or any of our members; we meet on the first Wednesday
every month at 7.30 in Tysoe Village Hall. We had a most enjoyable
December meeting with many of our friends joining us for the evening. We
were greeted with mulled wine to warm us up and then were treated to a
delightful musical evening by the four Rush sisters from Tysoe, they were
a pleasure to listen to with their songs and instrument playing. The
rendering of Stanley Holloway's 'Sam's Medal' had us all laughing as did
their own poem entitled 'Rehearsal Time'. The evening continued with a
splendid buffet served by the Committee; it ended with a surprise parcel
raffle; Thank you all! Myrtle Knight. |
