Closure of Oxhill Methodist Church (2)

For some years now we have been concerned about the condition of the Methodist Church Building in the village, and have done our best to investigate the causes in the hope that we could rectify the problems. The structural condition makes this difficult in terms of cost, and the members and friends of the Chapel recognise that closure is the only option. We are glad to think of the history of the Chapel, and the contribution it has made both to the village itself and the wider Circuit of Methodist Churches. We are grateful to God for that history and contribution.

We would also like to acknowledge publicly the offers over the years from the Revd. David Knight of the possibility of Services at St. Lawrence Church. Oxhill will not be forgotten by the Circuit, and we hope that ecumenical links will continue to assure the people of Oxhill of our prayers, interest and, where possible, involvement in village life.

Revd. Alec M. Roberts, Superintendent Minister, Kineton Methodist Circuit
