We are sad to have to report the death of John Hughes, who was for many years the very fine organist at St. Lawrence Church.  John had been ill for some time but, despite his failing health, continued to play for our services. 

He showed his love of the Church by his very beautiful playing, which enriched our services.  He will be missed very much.

We send our love to his wife Brenda and to his family.

This site is maintained by villagers of Oxhill for the benefit of the community and those interested in the history, news and activities that make the village such a pleasant place to live.
