Problems with Puppies

This is a very frantic plea to everyone who uses the right of way across the top of my garden to walk, either by themselves or with their dogs (who, by the way, are seldom on a lead, even when inside the garden).

I have a nine-month-old spaniel puppy that loves to join them on their stroll, out of the garden and away – though rarely continuing on the actual right of way across the field.  She loves people, and especially the other dogs to play with, but she is very young and does not know her way home.

Please, if you find my puppy trying to follow you, will you shut her in a stable or else return her to me after your walk.  I am very worried that she will be left on the road alone and be run over.
