Oxhill Scarecrow Weekend

June 16th will soon be upon us!  The straw for stuffing your scarecrows will be outside the village hall in the next few days, and we hope you will all be just as inventive and industrious in producing attractive scarecrows as in past years.

There will be a meeting in the village hall on Thursday 31st May at 7.30 for communal scarecrow building, but this notice may perhaps reach you just a little late!  If you want to produce a scarecrow (or several?) but need help and advice then please contact me.

There will be a pig roast in the grounds of the village hall in the evening of Saturday 16th.  Tickets at £7.50 are available from Lilian on 680468 or Rosemary on 680260.

If you have plants that you could donate to the Plant Stall please could you take them to Janet Gardner at Oddcot.

The flowers will be arranged in the Church on Thursday 14th.  If you can lend a hand please come along to the Church any time after 10 a.m.

If you have bric-a-brac or prizes for the tombola please could you get them to me a few days before the event as it takes me some time to deal with the tombola.

Last year we had lovely scarecrows and a really fun weekend, so let’s all try and make it even better this year.

Many thanks, Lilian
