Horton General Maternity Unit I have just received a notice that the Children's and Maternity services at the Horton General, Banbury, are being reviewed by the Independent Review Panel which means they are under threat of closure. Anyone interested in maintaining these services (and in due course others especially A and E) should write to The Independent Reconfiguration Panel, Kierran Cross, 1st Floor, 11, the Strand, London WC2N 5HR. It is also possible to provide feedback on their website, the address of which is: http://www.irpanel.org.uk/view.asp?id=19. There is also a Downing Street e-petition, whose address is: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/SAVE-THE-HORTON/ I know we are in Warwickshire and not Oxfordshire, but the Horton is our nearest hospital!
