The Ancient Tree Hunt

Are you interested in old trees?  If so, maybe you would like to get involved in the Ancient Tree Hunt.  This has involved thousands of people since it began in 2004 and is joint venture between the Tree Register of the British Isles and the Ancient Tree Forum.  To date, 25,000 trees across the UK have been recorded.  These will form a part of a living database of ancient trees which will help to care for and preserve them.  With our help and the assistance of many partner organisations, the aim is to record at least 100,000 ancient trees throughout the UK by 2011.

To take part in the Ancient Tree Hunt, look for these old monsters then measure and record them on the website  - http://www.ancient-tree-hunt.org.uk/project/.

Good hunting!
