Master Gardener

Free local advice and support growing food

Gardening charity, Garden Organic, and Warwickshire County Council are running a brand new project to train people in the art of growing their own food, funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food scheme.

The Master Gardener programme - a volunteer network supporting local people and communities to grow fruit and vegetables in their gardens and on communal land – is underway with over 40 Master Gardeners already trained in Warwickshire.

Master Gardeners encourage and advise people who would like to “grow their own” in whatever space they have, from a pot on a windowsill to a new allotment, and anything in between.  Drawing on their own experiences and a wealth of resources Master Gardeners offer advice on what to grow and where, as well as sowing, planting and growing techniques.  You can sign up to receive 12 months of support from your local Master Gardener, and it’s free!

If you live in Tysoe, Oxhill, Whatcote, Brailes, Kineton or surrounding villages and would like to call upon a Master Gardener for advice and support then contact your local Master Gardeners, Mike and Sue Sanderson at: sueandmikemastergardeners@hotmail.co.uk
