Musical Planning

CANTAMUS is a Shipston-based a cappella choir of 24 people, who come from South Warwickshire, the North Cotswolds and North Oxfordshire, founded and directed by Richard Emms – well-known in this area as conductor, performer, and composer.

We are currently planning our programme for 2011 and 2012, and would be delighted to consider any performances and concerts, tailored to your specific needs. So if you have a church festival, a village celebration, a fund-raising event, a Christmas concert, or even a wedding to plan, do get in touch.

Our repertoire is very varied, and is tailored carefully to each occasion.  We have sacred and secular music to offer, from the 16th century to the present day, and can incorporate beautifully-chosen and performed readings, if required, to complement the musical programme.

If you wish to know more about the choir, visit our website – www.cantamus.org.uk – and if you wish to explore any ideas, get in touch with either Yvonne Ridley, Concert Manager on 01789 269587, or Richard Emms, Director on 01608 662163.

This site is maintained by villagers of Oxhill for the benefit of the community and those interested in the history, news and activities that make the village such a pleasant place to live.
