St Lawrence Church Survey

Thank you to everyone who responded to the St Lawrence Church survey.  We received 16 replies to the survey, which is 4.5% of the village population.  This might not sound like very much but it is actually a high percentage for a paper based survey.

The results provided valuable information for the PCC (Parochial Church Council).  As you might expect, a wide range of views and opinions were expressed.  However, it was very clear that people value the Church as an important part of village life.

Two decisions have been taken as a direct result of the survey.  A new style of service not based on a service book will be introduced once a month – a modern “Morning Worship” based around a theme.  It will be led by the Rev. Bill Rolfe and take place on the second Sunday of the month at 9.30am, beginning on October 9th.  The service will be followed by coffee and a chance to chat.  Secondly, we will also be renewing our commitment to use the Church as a venue for concerts.  If any of you have any contacts with musicians who might be willing to perform, it would be great if you could let Nicholas (01608 685230), Martin, the wardens or any other member of the PCC know.
