Jubilee Lunch

Setting up the marquee for lunch

Feeding the 5,000?  Not quite, only 240!  A heartfelt thank you to the cooks of the Kitchen Brigade; Ruth Mercer, Gaynor Van Dijk and Gaynor Fila, Carol Fox and Carol Beasley, Anne Marshall, Posy McDonald, Trish Harbour, Cath Pugh, Sue Headley, Sue Robins, and Gwyn Adams, to Carol Taylor for the shopping trips, Jo van Dijk for collecting all the vegetables, Debbie Collins for providing the very welcome bacon rolls on Sunday morning, the men of Oxhill who moved all the tables and helped to ferry the food, and all the commi chefs who turned up to help with the prep, and for the band of washers up and cleaners.  Jellies came in from far and wide, so a special thank you to the jelly makers!  Thank you again to Jill and Colin Tucker – without the use of the chapel the lunch would have been almost impossible.

A big personal cheer from me.

Grenville Moore
