Vicarage Notes

Dear friends,

I do hope all the holiday makers enjoyed their time away last month. To all who became hooked on the Olympics – don’t worry, there’s another games in 4 years.

I enjoyed lunch as a guest at a former Vicar’s family gathering a few weeks ago – his 3 surviving daughters were 90, 92 and 97 and their good friend was 93! Lots of memories were shared and I felt that they had truly seen life with a rich variety of experiences. Hopefully the experience of the Games will help in
developing greater understanding between nations and encourage many to enjoy sport and the camaraderie that goes with it.

Later this month, Sunday 23rd, we shall be enjoying our traditional Harvest Festival service, to which all are warmly invited. I’m looking around to see if there’s any new poetry on the Harvest theme – if you know of anything, please contact me. If you enjoyed the Jubilee Service, you’ll hopefully enjoy Harvest too!

Best wishes and God bless,

Nicholas Morgan    01608 685230
