Knit & Natter

Our first session attracted 16 people, which included 3 newcomers and centred around discussions on future events. We also introduced our new charitable knitting project. This is to knit vests and hats to help dress the ‘Fish & Chip’ babies of Africa – children born to families too poor to clothe them so they wrap them in newspaper!

The dates for October are Thursday, 4^th and 18^th. On the 4^th we will be doing Pearl Beading, if you wish to participate, please bring some beads or an old necklace to be re-strung. Please look out for Posters advertising the activity on 18 October.

Everyone is welcome and you can either join in with the craft/activity, bring your own hobby to do or just come along for a cup of tea and a chat with your friends. There is also a ‘Book Exchange’. The afternoons start at 2.00pm and finish at around 4.00pm and cost £1 per session.
