Notes of the Oxhill Parish Council Meeting

Tuesday 11th September 2012 at 8.00pm in the Village Hall

Matters Discussed

Finance

An unqualified audit report was issued for the year ended 31 March 2012.  The fee of £60 was paid.

Planning

Application for Change of use of land for the erection of a proposed specialist sheep housing building together with associated Laboratory and veterinary building/handling facility comprising of a mixed B1 and Sui Generis Use, area for the slaughtering of sheep and associated storage area at Church Farm had been received. A Public Meeting was held on 20th August, attended by Paul and Tom Heritage, to answer questions and hear concerns regarding this application.  The Parish Council have presented concerns to SDC on a  number of issues.

Amended application for erection of poultry rearing building and associated building containing education/display area, office, coffee bar, store and toilets with car parking at Edgehill Stud was returned with no objection.

Planning was consent granted to fell horse chestnut tree at corner of Rouse Lane.  Niall Conway has carried out this work.  W.C.C. will take out the root.

Shipston Rural Watch

Slow Down! Wheelie Bin Stickers are still available from either Stratford District Council or from Shipston Police Station.

Highways

A number of issues are still outstanding for the Highways Department to carry out.  Further contact will be made.

Code of Conduct

The New Code of Conduct was adopted by the Parish Council in line with Stratford District Council to comply to the Localism Act 2011.

Community Governance (Parish) Review

The first stage of this review is being carried out by Stratford District Council to consider whether the existing Parish Councils are reflective of the identities and interests of the communities and whether it is appropriate for Parish Councils to be merged, altered or abolished.  We have no changes to raise at this time.
