Guide Dogs is seeking volunteers to help us look after our breeding stock

Those who volunteer to look after our breeding bitches take responsibility for their day to day care, with the assurance of having 24 hour support and advice from the breeding centre staff.

The brood bitch in your care would be mated approximately once a year at the breeding centre, and give birth in your home. The puppies will then spend the first six weeks with their mum, with support from you.

If you feel that you can provide a home for a guide dog mum and:

Have a car and live within reasonable travelling distance from the National Breeding Centre near Leamington Spa

Possess a calm, caring disposition, are not in fulltime employment and can devote time to the bitch, particularly when she has a litter.

Please contact the National Breeding Centre on 0845 3727 432 to discuss further or to request an application form.
