Outing to Tyntesfield

Ettington Garden Club are having an outing to Tyntesfield NT house on Tuesday May 14th. This is down the M5 and in the Bristol area, about 2hrs by coach from Ettington community centre.

Cost of travel by a Johnson’s executive coach is £13 each and if you are not a member of the NT, entry to the house is approx £11.80 [2012 price]

The coach leaves Ettington at 9am and hopes to return by 6.30pm

The NT describe the house as fine Victorian, created by one of England’s richest commoners, William Gibbs, who built his fortune on fertiliser.  I believe the NT are in the process of spending a fortune on the house which was featured in a TV programme last year. There is a restaurant, cafe shop etc and extensive gardens and parkland.

If you would like to go please ring Matthew Marsh on 01789 748041 to book a place, and say you read about it in the Oxhill News.
