Deanery News

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the next Deanery Synod on Tuesday, October 22^nd at 7.30 pm in St. Mary’s Church, Tysoe. Greg Bartlem, whom many will remember as Diocesan Youth Officer, was ordained and has since grown a church from nothing among the deprived youngsters of the centre of Coventry. The church is called Urban Hope, and Greg is coming back to tell us about it.

Before that, on October 12^th, Bishop John will be leading the Deanery Confirmation service in St. Gregory’s Church, Tredington, at 6.00pm. Please do pray for those being confirmed that day, and for Bishop John and all those involved in the service.

Finally, with Harvest all around us, and Harvest Festivals now in full sway, a Harvest Prayer:

Lord God,
in our plenty we do not appreciate all that we have.
Grateful for our abundance,
help us not to forget those whose harvest is meagre and limited.
Celebrating the harvest,
help us not to forget those who bring it to our tables.
Genuine in our thanks,
help us to be generous in our giving.
