Notes of the Oxhill Parish Council Meeting

The meeting, chaired by Grenville Moore, was attended by Parish Councillors David Hill and Tom Heritage.

Apologies were received from Brian Badger and Carol Taylor.

Matters Discussed

Whatcote Road Sewer Work

More information has been distributed around the village by Severn Trent. The question of bin collections had been discussed and a system would be put in place.

Stratford District Council Planning Committee had unanimously rejected the proposed 80 dwelling development on the Oxhill Road.

Planning permission has been granted for (i) first floor side extension and new porch at Hillox; (ii) new retail unit with office space and staff facilities, car parking and vehicular access at Windmill Farm; (iii) first floor extension and a two storey extension at Binswood Cottage; (iv) single storey rear extension at Morningside.

Planning application was returned with no objection for removal of hawthorn tree at Meadow Cottage.

Proposed garage replacement at The Old Church House was proceeding under the Householder Appeals Service.

Precept for the financial year 2014/2015 was discussed and a sum of £2400 would be requested as last year. This covers mandatory insurance and audits, clerks expenses, grants towards mowing the churchyard and village hall grass area. Oxhill News printing costs and village plan expenses would also be covered.

Potholes would be requested for repair.

Parish Council Notice Board

Doug Nethercleft is very kindly providing a new Parish Council notice board to replace the existing one, which is very much appreciated.

Oak Tree at the top of Rouse Lane

The oak tree planted to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee has died after being replanted by Warwickshire County Council. Tom Heritage has offered to replace this.

Winter Gritting

This follows the same pattern as previous years with NO gritting taking place on the road to Kineton from the A422.

Displaying promotional material

Stratford District Council have issued new guidelines for the display of posters etc. These should be no more than 600mm x 600mm and not displayed more than 14 days in advance and taken down within 7 days of an event.
