Village Hall Events

Please note that The Village Hall will continue to operate as normal during the Sewer Renewal works in Whatcote Road. Residents of Whatcote Road are welcome to use the Car Park at their own risk but please be mindful of classes and events that are scheduled to take place therein. The Hall is used every Monday evening between 6.00pm and 8.00pm, every Wednesday between 9.30am and 12.30pm, every Thursday morning between 9.00am and 11.00am plus the events listed below.

Riding for the Disabled – A Talk from Ed Bracher
Friday, 28 February, 2014

As many of you will know, Ed is the Chief Executive of the Charity ‘Riding for the Disabled Association’ and he is also an excellent and interesting speaker. His talk on the 28th is entitled ‘Therapy & Achievement with the Riding for Disabled Association’ and this promises to be a really fascinating evening that you won’t want to miss!

Doors will open at 7.30pm and a limited range of refreshments will be available to purchase. Tickets will cost £4 each and a share of the proceeds will be donated to the RDA Charity.

A Celtic Friday Night @ The Village Hall
14 March, 2014

A welcome return for one of our casual Friday Night events with a Celtic theme comprising of a Welsh Lamb Casserole followed by an Irish Dessert, all for £8.50 per person and doors will be open from 7.30 pm onwards.

An English Friday Night @ The Village Hall

Another casual Friday Night event but this time with an English theme; see the next issue of the ‘News’ for more details.

Village Hall Committee AGM – Tuesday, 29 April

The Village Hall Committee AGM will take place on Thursday, 25 April at 8.00pm and this is an opportunity for new ideas to influence the way that the Village Hall is run and the sort of event that is available. Even if you do not want to stand for a committee post, please come along and enjoy a glass of wine and let us have your thoughts on how you would like to see the Village Hall develop.
