Parish Clerk

At the Parish Council meeting Angela Kean gave notice that as of next year she will be standing down as Parish Clerk after many years of loyal service. Thoughtfully she has given us early notice so we can find and train up a new clerk. The role and duties of a Parish Clerk include issuing the legal summons to elected members to attend meetings of the parish council and any of its committees, together with handling legal and financial matters, correspondence, and any publicity or events.

The Parish Clerk is the proper officer and statutory office holder. They are not an elected member but an employee of the Council. They are the executive office of the Parish Council and as such responsible for implementing the Council’s decisions.
