Tysoe Vs Oxhill Cricket Festival

Some very good news for all cricket lovers. The Tysoe versus Oxhill cricket festival on Saturday 30th August is ON! Oxhill have been challenged by Tysoe to a one-off event and we have taken that up that challenge eagerly. A trophy has been donated for the winning team. Behind the scenes people are ensuring that there will be splendid refreshments and entertainment to make it a truly joyful village occasion. So please keep that day free and join us on Tysoe Playing Fields for some good family fun.

What we need now are players who would like to take part. At the moment we are planning two games on the day. One for young people (girls play too!) under the age of 13. The other an adult match. We do not expect the standard to be too high and anyone wishing to partake would be welcome. Ed Fox (680223 or ceafox21@aol.com) and Catherine Kimmins (680452 or catherine_kimmins@hotmail.co.uk) are taking names so contact one of them if you (or one of your family) wish to play. If we can manage to arrange some "kwik cricket" for the children we will do so.

Our one final problem is to get the ground fit enough to play some decent cricket so any offers of help and expertise on that front would be gratefully accepted.

All we need now is a sunny day and your support.
