Ride and Stride

Saturday 13th September 2014

Warwickshire & Coventry Historic Churches Trust

I urge you to participate in this worthwhile fund raising and fun event.   Further details and sponsorship forms may be obtained from www.warwickshirechurches.org.uk or from your local co-ordinators Nadia MacCall (Oxhill) - Tel.680306, Alice Pennell (Tysoe) - Tel.680020 and June Wreford (Whatcote) - Tel.680294.  A cycle route linking churches in the wider area is available from the former.

Of particular interest to our three villages is the triangular walking route mapped by Jim Saxton, details of which may be obtained from me – Tel. 680041.  To make sure that no-one goes astray on the day, the route will be signposted!

Following individual registrations at 9.45am, Jim is leading a group walk* starting at 10.00 from St Lawrence’s calling in at St Mary’s and St Peter’s for refreshments – to this end all three churches are being manned during the day for anyone taking part in the Ride & Stride event.  It might suit you to walk perhaps just part of the triangular route, at a different time or, indeed, anti-clockwise – in which case register at one of the churches on the day. For those who have not sought sponsorship it is suggested that £5 would be an equitable donation to the cause.

Enjoy the day.  I look forward to seeing you on the way round!
