WWI Service

Firstly, my enormous thanks to all those who contributed to, took part in and came along to the WW! Vigil Service in Oxhill Church on August 3rd.  It was an incredible act of worship, made very special by the gifts that everyone brought to it.  There were specially made candles, flower arrangement, dispays, works of art, music reading and memories, and wine for us all afterwards: every gift was special, but the sum total was even greater than the sum of the parts.

Secondly, there will be another chance to meet together over lunch and then reflect about God’s meeting with us in our lives when Lunch Break meets again on Thursday, September 18th, and 12.30pm. This time we are meeting in The Old Chapel, Oxhill, and Tom Moffatt will be sharing with us some of the poetry of R.S.Thomas.  The invitation is to anyone in the villages of Oxhill, Tysoe, Whatcote,  Brailes and Sutton-under Brailes– please do come and join us.  It is helpful, but not essential, to know if you are coming (see below), and as before there will be a high chair and toys for any younger visitors! It would be lovely to see you.
