Amazon Internet Scam

I was recently sent an email purporting to be from Amazon informing me my account would be closed immediately if I did not confirm my account details. It looked like a genuine Amazon website and even had most of my details already logged into it, i.e. name, address, postcode and phone number. I fell for it but fortunately I pay my account through a credit card. Within hours I got a call from my credit card company asking if I had ordered several things costing several thousands of pounds. They call when there are what they call unusual transactions on my account. I of course had never heard of the transactions mentioned and the credit card company immediately refused payment and cancelled my card. Be warned never reveal any of your credit or bank card details over the internet. The credit card companies and banks will usually write to you if they require information.
