Barn Dance

Thank you to all who helped make this a great success. It is a long time since Oxhill had a Barn Dance. Bill and June kindly lent us the barn with big straw bales and we send our sincere thanks to them for this. Douglas Nethercleft found the band for us and they were superb. He also did all the necessary shifting of tables and chairs and put lights round which made it look festive and booked the portaloo. Thank you Douglas.

James and Linda did a great job on the bar and Ed and Jess assisted with the pig roast. The ladies committee did their usual job of dealing with tickets on the door and the raffle. Michael Gibbs from Tysoe provided small bales of straw . He brought them to the venue and collected them. Thank you so much Michael. Lots of people turned up and really enjoyed dancing and the evening was summed up by the band who said it was great to have a real barn dance in a real barn. So thank you everybody. We raised just over £1,000 . There were requests that perhaps we could repeat this event next year?
