St Lawrence Church

The PCC met on 23rd September. Rev. Canon Jill Tucker was welcomed to the PCC. Jill will be helping with services now that Bill Rolfe is easing back. The agenda included a report on finance which indicated that we had to use funds from the reserve account to clear the invoices for the restoration and roof repair.

Jo Van Dijk had decided to stand down from the PCC.  Jo had been a stalwart member for some years and his support will be greatly missed. The PCC thanked Jo very sincerely for all the work he carried out on maintenance of the church particularly looking after the central heating system.

A new morning service was to be planned by Jill and some PCC members. The first service would take place on second Sunday in October.

The Barn Dance had been very successful raising £1,030 for funds.  The Ride and Stride had been reasonably well supported and raised £95 for Warwickshire Historic churches trust.

The Carol Service will take place on 18th December. The Deanery Synod meeting was about the work of Warwickshire Historic Churches trust.

The next meeting is on December 2nd.
