Lent, Holy Week and Easter 2015
A look ahead to events planned as we move towards Easter.
Shrove Tuesday: February 17th.
Pancake Supper, 7.00pm, at The Old House.
Ash Wednesday: February 18th.
Eucharist of Ash Wednesday with Imposition of Ashes. 7.30 pm in St. Lawrence Church.
Lent Lunch: a simple lunch of soup, bread and cheese, with a focus on serving the poor. Thursday, March 5th, 12.30 pm, at The Old House.
Mothering Sunday: Sunday March 15th
9.30 am: Mothering Sunday Service
Palm Sunday: March 29th.
9.30 am: Family Service for Palm Sunday.
Good Friday: Friday April 3rd.
Morning: 10.00am – 12.00 noon ‘Messy Church’ in The Old Chapel for children and carers to create an Easter Garden and other visual liturgy for Church, hopefully accompanied by home-made hot-cross buns, rounded off with a very simple act of worship in the Chapel.
Evening: 7.30 pm in Tysoe church: Oxhill Festival Choir to join forces with the Tysoe Choir to lead an evening of sacred music, meditation and prayer for Good Friday in Tysoe Church.
Easter Day: Sunday April 5th.
9.30 am: Eucharist of Easter Day.
