Brooks Williams Gig at the Village Hall 13th March 2015 Around 30 lucky Villagers plus a similar number from Tysoe, Banbury, Balsall Common, etc were treated to a superb exhibition of musicianship by Brookes Williams. He played an Acoustic guitar, a ‘National’ guitar a ‘Cigar box’ guitar and a Mandolin during the 2 hours that he entertained us and held us in thrall with his skill, versatility and fascinating tales. A fantastic musician and raconteur. A big ‘Thank You’ to Pat Crowther for bringing another quality act to Oxhill – your taste in what music will work for us is impeccable, as verified by so many travelling from outside of the village. |
