Deanery News

On Tuesday, June 2nd we welcome Linda Wainscot, the Diocesan Director of Education, to our Deanery Synod, all about educating our children, to be held at 7.30pm in Whatcote Church.  Linda theme is ‘Children are a heritage from the LORD’.  Two of our clergy, Sarah Edmonds and Ali Massey are also putting on a display about their recent work in our primary schools: if you want to know more, please do come along.

Later that week, on Thursday, June 4th, we will be holding another Quiet Morning, in the Free School in Brailes.  It will run from 10.00am until 1.00pm: coffee will be available from 9.30am, and a light lunch will be served afterwards.  Elisabeth Ashworth is leading us into the writings of Brother Anthony: Pots, Pans and Prayer.  Anyone is welcome, even if you can come for only part of the time.

Looking much further ahead, just to get it in your diaries, on Saturday, August 15th there will be another Deanery Garden Party in the gardens of The Old House, Back Lane, Oxhill (CV35 0QN) between 3.00pm and 5.00pm.

Enjoy your summer in the glory of God’s creation!

Blessings, Jill
