Vicarage Notes Dear friends, The Queen’s Birthday Children in our local primary schools are being given a little Scripture Union booklet entitled “The Servant Queen”. This includes an insight into H.M’s faith, with extracts from her Christmas speeches, eg For me, the life of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, whose birth we celebrate today, is an inspiration and an anchor in life. A role model of reconciliation and forgiveness, he stretched out his hands in love, acceptance and healing. (2014) All are warmly invited to the appropriately named service on the 12th! The Trinity Season The green altar frontal will now be on the high altar in St.Lawrence’s as we begin our journey through the many Sundays after Trinity. Green is the colour of life and growth, and we ask for God’s blessing on us as we share church and community life, with all the special occasions, summer events, and for me, a veritable cornucopia of christenings. So we go forward together, knowing that our Lord is always by our side, as expressed in that lovely passage folk call “footprints”! God bless,
