Village Hall Events

Coming next…

Sunday 14 August – The Great Shakespeare Ride 2016

Oxhill, and its Village Hall, again welcomes The Great Shakespeare Ride as cyclists will make their way through Oxhill in aid of the Shakespeare Hospice to raise money to provide care and support to families in need in South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds.

There will be three distances of ride; 40 miles, 66 miles (100 km) and 100 miles and if you wish to join in, visit www.thegreatshakespeareride.org.uk to sign up.

If you would just like to support the event in a tangible way, we are looking for volunteers to help on the day as the village hall is a ’feed stop’ for those on the 40 mile route. We need people to serve cakes, fruit and drinks on the morning and it would be great to receive some homemade cakes as they are always enjoyed by the riders.

If you can help, as above, and/or by providing a much sought after homemade cake or biscuits then please contact Tricia Harbour on (01295) 680676.

Saturday 27 August – Bank Holiday Big Breakfast and Produce Market

For the Bank Holiday weekend we have another Big Breakfast, with the bonus of a Produce Market.

As before, breakfasts can be booked at 15 minute intervals between 9am and 11am. Ticket numbers are limited with our maximum attendance set at 48.

Full English: eggs, 2 bacon rashers, 2 sausages, mushrooms or black pudding, beans, tomato and toast (£5 adult, £3.50 children)

Continental: croissant, pain au chocolat, toast and juice (£2.50 adult, £2 children)

Pot of tea £1, coffee cafetiere £2

To book your tickets and time slot please call Jay Roberts on (01295) 680030.

Oxhill Village Produce Market

The same morning a Produce Market is taking place outside the Village Hall where, after your hearty breakfast, you can buy some local produce for the rest of your weekend’s meals. We will have local fruit and vegetables for sale along with Rightons’ meat and pies, jams, preserves and chutneys and hopefully some home produced bread and other foodie delights.

Even If you are not fortunate enough to secure a place at the Big Breakfast, come along to the market anyway. There is no entrance fee. We will have a raffle to give you the chance to win some fabulous food.

And if you have home grown produce or jams etc. to sell at the Produce Market, please contact Derek Harbour on (01295) 680676.
