David Whaley

Engineer, Born 1922, Died 2016

David Whaley lived in Oxhill with his second wife Eve, for many years.  He was educated at Eton where as a cadet he became involved with many types of aircraft. His career began in 1941 when he started working with jet engines. This completely new field kept him busy throughout the war, after which he worked for Rolls Royce, followed by many well known British engineering companies.

David’s career evolved and he became a Chartered Patent Agent where his knowledge of engineering proved invaluable.

After retirement David worked with the British Red Cross, and also did voluntary work at Warwick Hospital.

He is survived by a son and daughter from his first marriage.
