Our November meeting will be our AGM followed by our speaker Richard Adams on

'The work of the Royal British Legion and the origins of Remembrance today.'

The AGM starts at 7.00 pm in the committee room. This is open to members only.

Our open meeting will commence at 7.45 in the main hall, where we will kick off with wine and food to share. Our topic this month is very relevant to the time of year, and we welcome non members, men and women, so do come along and join us.

We had a brilliant trip to National Breeding Centre for Guide Dogs in October. Apart from lots of lovable puppies that we all wanted to bring home, it was extremely interesting. It's an amazing place, well worth a visit for all ages.

Steve Brookes gave us many valuable gardening tips when he spent the evening regaling us with stories, looking at his table piled up with bits and bobs, some thought the quality of the raffle prizes had gone down! Who knew there were so many uses for plastic bottles, shower caps, cheap soap, tights, mop heads, deodorant bottles, deep heat, tea bags, washing powder..... The list goes on. A great time was enjoyed by all!

The committee is very busy in the lead up to Christmas, and planning for next year's centenary is well under way.

Our annual Christmas shopping evening takes place on Thursday 24th November 6-8.30. Something for everyone, no need to trudge around the town when you can buy lots of your Christmas presents locally, and find something different and individual.  Look out for posters

Some of us are travelling to Worcester to visit the Victorian Christmas market at the end of November.

We will be holding a Christmas Table decoration workshop in December.
