Here we come a Wassailing!!!

An evening of fun, food, drink, and tradition awaits those who join us on Saturday 21st 2017 from 4:30pm, with the procession starting at 5:00pm, for our now traditional Tysoe Wassail!

The tradition goes back hundreds of years and is all about having fun whilst encouraging the orchard to produce good fruit in the coming season. At the WOT2Grow Community orchard we have started to build our own tradition for the event and it is proving popular!

The orchard looks magical with the lights dotted through the orchard and the big bonfire to warm your hands by as you sample the hot mulled cider or spiced apple juice prior to the start of the procession.

The lighted candle flares, singing of songs, throwing cider on the trees and making lots of noise including gun shots all add to the atmosphere! Just come along and experience something different and special!!!

Do come along, stout shoes or boots are needed as well as torches also anything to make a noise!  Find the Wassail at the community orchard behind the allotments in the Shenington Road Tysoe.
