| Piscina | In the south wall near the altar is a reset early fourteenth century piscina. |
| Slabs | The memorial slabs in the floor around the altar are mostly those of the Meese family (see page. ??). The inscriptions to Nicholas Meese, to his wife Jane, and to his son Walwyn are in Latin, and are now largely hidden beneath the altar step. Again we are fortunate that copies were made of these c.1830 by the Rev. Thomas Ward. His records show that the inscriptions to Walwyn and Jane Meese extol their virtues in the florid manner of the time. The one to Nicholas Meese, however, whilst recording that he had been a worthy Rector for many years, suggests that he suffered great ill health towards the end of his life, (he died at the advanced age of 86), which he bore with some fortitude. Two children of Walwyn Meese and his wife Mary also lie buried here - Robert and Elizabeth - but their inscription is quite worn away. Immediately in front of the altar is the clear-cut and poignant memorial to Margaretta Perletta, the infant daughter of Thomas and Perletta Beauchamp. Perletta Beauchamp is thought to have been one of the twin daughters of Nicholas Meese. |
