Only two weeks late, we bring you this proof that Oxhill is indeed on the map.

Mrs. Dorothy Simmonds suffered a fall at her home on Sunday 19th October and an ambulance was summoned.  A few minutes later the ambulance service rang back to say “The air ambulance just happens to be flying overhead, so it will call in”.  Neither the doctor nor the paramedic on board was able to perform a full diagnosis so Mrs. Simmonds was whisked to hospital in Warwick , reportedly in 4 minutes.

Fortunately her injuries were slight, and she was able to return home later that evening – by road, and somewhat slower.

Just goes to show the value of having such things as air ambulances about.  And a defibrillator could come in handy in the village one day, too.  We all need to keep supporting such services.
