Your Village Needs You

at the Edgehill Games

Various locations from 29th April to15th July

The Edgehill churches conceived an idea for a small inter-village competition to mark the year of the Olympics, but this has now grown to 28 events over 2˝ months in the summer term with many different organisations working together to make the games happen.  Events range from Cycling and a Half Marathon to a raft race, Teddy Bear parachuting and a Pub Pentathlon.  As well as the chance for individual Gold Medals, villages will be competing to try and win the trophy for finishing top of the medals table.  The competition is open to all villages, parishes or workplaces although we expect most entrants will be from south Warwickshire.

Team numbers on some events are limited, so if you want to be sure of your village/parish having a team in an event then ‘book early to avoid disappointment.’

David Moorcroft OBE is coming to do the opening ceremony and award the medals for the winners of the cycling events at Upton House around 1pm on Sunday 29th April.
