Wrapping up the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations It was never intended that the event should make a profit but with generous support of a number of individuals and local businesses a significant surplus resulted. From the outset the organising group decided that any remaining funds would be distributed within the village. A donation of £400 was made to our First Responders last year and now the accounts have been finalised the remaining balance of approximately £360 has been split equally between St Lawrence Church and the Village Hall to enable the bank account to be closed. Thank you once again to all those who contributed in any way to such a successful celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Mike Collins
